Släktträff - Törris Riseng

För ett år sedan hade vi en stor släktträff i Våler, Norge. En underbar dag där man mötte både kända och okända. Helt otroligt att få ihop så många från Norge, Sverige, USA och Canada via Facebook. Vi var en hel hög släktingar efter Törris Riseng och hans tre kvinnor.

HIstory:

Tørris Arntsen Riseng was borned in Våler 25th of Mars in 1859. He was one of 9 siblings. Only 3 of them grew up. One week before Tørris was born, his twin brother, Martin was born. Martin died 4 days later, that is three days before Tørris came. His mother, Olea Halvorsdatter (1831-1870), died 39 years old, after has given birth to 9 children in 11 years.

His father, Arnt Tørrisen (born in 1832) found a new and younger wife, Eline Olsdatter Risåsen (born in 1842). They got married on 26th of May 1871, and in 1872 they emigrated to Queensland in Australia together with two of Tørris siblings, Arne (born 7th of Sept 1868) and Oline (born 7th of July in 1862). Tørris was left behind in Norway, 13 years old. He was confirmed in the Church in Våler in 1875. After that Tørris had to take care of himself. During his life he got 11 children, with three different women;
1) Andrine Nordermoen 1851 - 1911 (they married 24/7 1877 – 5 children)
2) Kristiane Knudsdatter 1857-1924 (not married -1 child)
3) Thea Olsdatter 1872 -? (they married after Andrine died– 5 children).
